Julie C. Canner

Shareholder

Julie is a Shareholder in the Firm, and practices in the areas of corporate law, banking law and loan workouts and bankruptcy.  Julie attended Vanderbilt University and the University of Michigan, before graduating from the University of Detroit Law School with a J.D. in 1990.  Julie’s practice focuses on the representation of business clients in all types of corporate and business-law related matters, including acquiring, selling and financing various types of entities, as well as representing financial institutions and creditors both in connection with loan originations and in workouts, bankruptcy reorganizations and insolvency-related matters.

Julie is a member of the State Bar of Michigan, Oakland County Bar Association and is a member of the Bankruptcy Committee of the Oakland County Bar.  Julie has authored a number of articles, including 11 USC 523, “Dischargeability for Wilful and Malicious Injury,”  Norton’s Bankruptcy Reporter, of which Julie was a co-author.
