Scott G. Wallace

Scott is an Associate in the Firm and specializes in the areas of estate planning, probate and trust administration, and taxation. Scott received a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of South Florida in 1986 and his Juris Doctor, with honors, from Florida State University College of Law in 1991. Scott served as a member of the Florida State University Law Review (1989 - 1991) as well as serving as a research assistant for Sheldon F. Kurtz, Dean of FSU College of Law. Prior to attending law school, Scott pursued post-graduate studies and research opportunities at the University of South Florida, with an emphasis in American Presidential Politics and the analysis of Presidential Leadership Models.

After completing law school, Scott practiced for a number of years in Florida with an emphasis on estate planning, probate, trust and guardianship administration, probate litigation and real property. He has co-authored seminar materials for the National Business Institute, including “A Practical Guide to Estate Administration in Florida“ and “Basic Probate Procedures and Practice in Florida.” Scott served as co-counsel in the reported case of Rydstrom v. Bayfront Medical Center, 632 So.2d 143 (Fla. 2nd DCA. 1994), successfully defeating a hospital’s equal protection challenge to Florida’s doctrine of necessaries. He is a member of the bar in Michigan and Florida and is also a member of the Oakland County Bar Association.
