Alan is a Shareholder in the Firm, and the focus of his practice is real estate. Alan graduated from Michigan State University with honors in 1984. He received his J.D. from Wayne State University in 1987. Alan is a member of the State Bar of Michigan, and the Oakland County and American Bar Associations.

Alan has substantial experience in the areas of commercial leasing, acquisition, development and sale of real estate and commercial finance. He has written extensively in the area of landlord-tenant relationships, and has authored several feature articles for The Detroit Multi-Housing Monthly. Alan is on the Board of Editors for the national publication, Commercial Leasing Law and Strategy, and is a regularly featured author for that publication. Alan regularly serves as lead real estate counsel on transactions in Wayne, Oakland and Macomb Counties for some of Michigan's largest real estate developers.
