Scott is a Shareholder in the Firm, and specializes in the area of business law, with an emphasis on tax planning. As part of his practice, Scott provides business and individual clients with tax planning advice and represents and advises clients with respect to investment opportunities, choice of entity issues, executive compensation, and merger and acquisition related issues.

A graduate of the University of Michigan in 1992, Scott received his Juris Doctorate, cum laude, from the University of Detroit Mercy School of Law in 1995 and his LL.M. in taxation and international and comparative law from Georgetown University Law Center, with distinction, in 1996.

Prior to joining the Firm, Scott practiced law in the tax department of another Detroit based law firm. In his spare time, Scott enjoys golfing, biking, skiing and traveling.
