He is a frequent lecturer at the Wayne, Oakland and Macomb County Bar Associations on matters relating to taxation and probate. He has taught estate planning at Wayne State University Law School in the evening program. He is a frequent speaker at numerous professional organizations and is often requested by financial consultants to participate in workshops on wealth building and taxation and estate planning. He is on the Board of several private tax exempt charitable foundations. He has received numerous appointments of contested probate matters from both the Wayne County and Oakland County Probate Judges. He has been selected as a Super Lawyer in Michigan for 2006-2009 as a Trustee for Henry Ford Health Systems for the 2007-2012 term.
As one of the recognized leaders in his field, Barry is a member of the State Bar Sections on Taxation and Probate and a mediator in both Wayne and Oakland County Probate Courts. A member of Phi Alpha Delta, Barry brings a creative and innovative approach to the practice of law and the ever-changing landscape of his chosen specialties. He also skis, travels enthusiastically and collects art with the same spirit with which he practices law.
