Rick is a Shareholder in the Firm, and the focus of his practice is estate planning, tax and succession planning, employee benefits, corporate and transactional. Rick earned his B.S. (Chemistry) from the University of Michigan in 1966, his M.B.A. from Western Michigan University in 1967, and his J.D., cum laude, from the University of Detroit in 1976. Rick was a member of the Law Review of the University of Detroit, and was the recipient of a merit award scholarship. He is a member of the State Bar of Michigan and is admitted to practice before the United States District Court and the United States Tax Court.

Rick is a member of the Board of Directors of the Henry Ford Community College Foundation, a member of the Board of Governors of the Dearborn Country Club, a member and Vice President of the University of Michigan Chapter of Theta Chi Alumni Association, and member and a past director of the Dearborn Kiwanis.
